John Humble's conviction in reference to writing the 'Ripper' letters and tape is very interesting! But maybe the story did not end with Humble's conviction?

Sutcliffe and Humble are now writing to each other. Sutcliffe has even invited Humble to visit him in Broadmoor [what a meeting of minds that conjures up!]

There is no doubt that the letters and tape diverted police attention from Sutcliffe ...so wouldn't it be interesting if it was proved that Humble and Sutcliffe already knew each other? Did they?

Consider these facts:-

*  During Sutcliffe's trial he alleged that the person who wrote the letters killed Joan Harrison (this is in the transcript of the trial).

Sutcliffe was delivering in Preston, just a few hundred yards of where Joan Harrison's body was discovered ...within the 24 hour window of her death.

*  Sutcliffe was reported to have been traveling with a Geordie

* The only time Sutcliffe is reported to have written to a newspaper since his conviction was some years before John Humble's arrest. The paper in question was 'The Sunderland Echo' (Humble's local paper); Sutcliffe's reason for writing was to deny ever being in North Shields ...could he have been trying to warn somebody?

COMMENT: If there is a prior connection between Sutcliffe and the hoax letter writer, surely Sutcliffe would have been given a longer sentence had this been revealed at his trial and Humble would have been charged with far more than perverting the course of justice.

Regardless whether John Humble had a prior connection with Peter Sutcliffe, he (Peter Sutcliffe) DID visit the North Shields Fishermans Mission with a companion (who came from Sunderland) in 1978. The fact that Sutcliffe has denied being there only serves to make people wonder as to why should he bother deny it if there was an entirely innocent reason for being there........ what could the fair haired man have to say if he was identified?
